Beim Autofahren Songs über andere Autos hören? Kein Problem! Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass es dabei um einen Mercedes geht, ist hoch.

Musiker:innen singen in ihren Songs gerne über ihre Errungenschaften und teure Luxusgüter. Vor allem im Hip Hop ist das gang und gäbe. Das britische Vergleichsportal Uswitch analysierte am 9.7.2021 die Datenbank von Lyrics.com, um herauszufiltern, welche Automarken am meisten in Liedern genannt werden. Außerdem wurde ausgewertet, welche Musiker:innen am häufigsten über Automarken singen.

Der Rapper Kollegah holt beispielsweise nicht etwa Kilos an Drogen mit dem Fahrrad oder dem Fiat Punto aus den Niederlanden, sondern klar, im Benz. In 33 Songs rappt er über Mercedes, und damit mehr als alle anderen Musiker:innen. Wird er etwa von der Luxusmarke gesponsert? In 112 von insgesamt 249 Songs rappt er über Automarken.

In der gesamtem Datenbank von Lyrics.com wird Fiat in 487 Songs erwähnt. Mercedes dafür über 30 Mal so oft.
