Nordkoreanische Raketen: Bald mit weltweiter Reichweite?

Nordkorea könnte wahrscheinlich mit einer Rakete deinen Wohnort treffen - es sei denn, du wohnst in Südamerika.

Der Kontinent und ein relativ kleiner Teil Afrikas liegen nicht in Reichweite der nordkoreanischen “Hwasong-15”-Rakete: Sie kann sich “nur” bis zu 13.000 km von ihrer Startrampe entfernen.

Im Oktober 2020 stellte Nordkorea jedoch seine neueste Waffe vor, die noch unbenannt und ungetestet ist. Es wird vermutet, dass die neue Rakete in der Lage ist, einen nuklearen Sprengkopf an jeden beliebigen Ort auf dem Kontinent der Vereinigten Staaten zu bringen. Nordkorea besitzt thermonukleare Bomben, die zwischen sechs- und 24-mal so stark sind wie die 1945 über Hiroshima abgeworfene Bombe.

Bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass Ex-Präsident Trumps Freundschaft mit Kim Jong Un auch in der Biden-Administration fortgesetzt wird.

“Most people who I know left or are about to leave the country“

Last Thursday the KATAPULT had the chance to speak to a young woman in Russia about the situation inside the country. Originally it was planned as a video-interview. However the newest regulations in Russia which suppress the freedom of press and punish the spreading of information against the government are punishable with  a prison sentence of up to 15 years. That’s why the interview will now be published as completely anonymized text. The photos were sent by the interviewee. Her name and hometown has been verified by KATAPULT.
